COMMUNITY spirit will be in full flow this weekend as Cradley switch their Christmas lights on.

Cradley Residents Association has raised the money to put up the festive illuminations which will be turned on outside The Laurels at 6pm on Sunday (November 26).

Before the main event, there will be pre-switch entertainment being held in the Windmill Hill club from 3pm courtesy of live band ‘The Limit’, while hot pork baps, mulled wine, mince pies will be served.

Richard Legiewicz said: “We are trying to get some community spirit going in the Cradley area so in the run up to Christmas we’re having a bit of a ‘get together’ with some nosh and a live band.

“Hopefully we can get everyone down to The Laurels and make this an annual event.”

Entry to The Laurels on Sunday afternoon costs £4.
