SPORT Relief is returning next month and staff at Sainsbury’s Oldbury store are inviting customers to join them in getting active and raising money for the charity.

This year, Sport Relief is challenging the nation to walk one billion steps a day, every day, from March 17 to 23. Sainsbury’s will be leading the charge with staff members stepping up as part of ‘Team Sport Relief’.

Over the next few weeks, the Oldbury store will be will be raising cash for charity with activities including a bake sale, an all-day bike ride in the foyer and a book sale, concluding with a week packed full of in store activity.

Katy Bradshaw-Sole, store manager, said: “Our colleagues love getting involved with Sport Relief fundraising and we’re all really proud to support such a great cause.

“There are some brilliant activities planned this year and we look forward to inviting customers to join in with the fun.”

Shoppers can now pick up official Sport Relief merchandise in store, including wristbands, pin badges, deeley boppers and water bottles.
