A HALESOWEN road is set to temporarily become one-way during roadworks next week, with council bosses warning drivers to expect disruption in the area.
Stourbridge Road will be closed on the westbound carriageway from its junction with the New Road roundabout for about 20m towards Halesowen, from May 29 until June 1.
This will mean traffic will not be able to enter Stourbridge Road from the roundabout. The closure will allow the work to provide a new gas supply to be carried out safely.
A council spokesman said: “Disruption to traffic is anticipated and drivers are strongly advised to seek an alternative route if possible.”
Diversions will be in place for westbound traffic will be via Earls Way, Bromsgrove Road, Queensway, Hagley Road, Albert Road, Elizabeth Road and Alexandra Road.
