SOMEWHERE Beyond the Sea is the ninth novel from Sunday Times bestselling author Miranda Dickinson.

The latest offering from Miranda, who grew up in Kingswinford and now lives in Sedgley, hits the shelves today (Thursday).

It is described as "a tale of love, life and finding magic where you least expect it".

Seren MacArthur is living a life she never intented. Trying to save the Cornish seaside business her late father built - while grieving for his loss - she has put her own dreams on hold and is struggling.

But when she completes a half-finished seaglass star she finds on her favourite beach during an early morning walk, she feels like magic is returning to her life.

Jack Dixon is trying to secure a better life for daughter Nessie and himself. Left a widower and homeless when his wife died, he's just about keeping their heads above water.

Finding seaglass stars completed on Gwithian beach is a bright spark that slowly rekindles his hope.

Seren and Jack are both struggling with feeling like they aren't enough, but on opposing sides of a local heritage battle in beautiful St Ives, will they realise their missing piece is right in front of them?

Fans of the chick-lit author can listen to the first two chapters of the audiobook, narrated by Clare Corbett - who read The Girl on the Train - and Broadchurch star Jonathan Bailey below.
