FAMILIES had a fun-filled day in Brierley Hill as the Black Country Festival celebrations rolled into town.

Hundreds of people attended the second Brier Fair on Saturday, which saw the High Street awash with entertainers, Thomas Jones fun fair rides and a variety of market stalls.

Crowds were also treated to live performances on the Black Country Radio stage from a variety of acts including the Rock Choir, Bounce Back Choir and the band of the 2156 Brierley Hill Squadron.

The event was organised by Dudley Council with the support of Asda Brierley Hill and town traders.

Councillor Patrick Harley, leader of Dudley Council, said: “Thanks to everyone including local traders, entertainers and stallholders who helped make the event such a success.

"It was a great day out for all the family and we had perfect weather to top it off.”
