CORNGREAVES Primary School in Cradley Heath has joined the growing list of Sandwell schools rated as ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.
For teachers, pupils and parents this is a massive turnaround in standards since the school was put into Special Measures back in 2005.
Head teacher Tracy Ruddle, who has been in post since 2006, said: "We are delighted with this key report which shows the commitment and dedication of the staff here.
"It called our teaching 'inspirational' and praised both pupils and parents for their hard work and ongoing support.
Cllr Ian Jones, Cabinet member for children and young people at Sandwell MBC said: "This is an excellent achievement and shows how schools in the authority are moving forward."
The school is celebrating by organising lots of end of year activities with parents getting involved.
