THE Solihull-based Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) has named more organisations achieving its Payroll Quality Partnership (PQP) accreditation.

They include City of Wolverhampton College and Dataplan, the payroll services provider.

The Chartered Institute has also announced that Carillion (managed by Accenture HR), Mouchel (Lincoln), Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, University of Lincoln, West Midlands Fire Service and Cascade HR Ltd have all been re-accredited.

The PQP award recognises organisations that apply best practice in the development of their payroll professionals to enable them to provide customers with the highest level of service.

The PQP accreditation scheme was launched in 2007 to provide a standard for performance management in payroll, encouraging organisations to maintain professional competence while enhancing and developing payroll skills and knowledge.

Currently, there are 50 accredited organisations and a further 25 working towards the accreditation.

Lindsay Melvin, chief executive of the CIPP, said: “The PQP accreditation process is part of the chartered institute’s ongoing goal to uphold the highest standards in the payroll industry.

“We developed this scheme for organisations of all industry sectors who wished to achieve best practice in the development of payroll people.

“We are absolutely delighted that City of Wolverhampton College and Dataplan have now joined the prestigious ranks of the companies that have demonstrated exactly that.

“I would also like to commend the organisations that have achieved PQP re-accreditation. Their ongoing dedication to professional development is a testament to the success that PQP is today.”
