A GRAPHIC design business launched by a Kidderminster graduate who developed a love for print after drawing up her own wedding invitations is going from strength to strength.

Charlotte Wisdom, 21, is looking to build on the early successes of Nutmeg Design after setting the company up in September.

She has created invitations for a number of weddings, is making designs for a tea room and designs promotional material for Kidderminster- based homeless charity Simply Limitless.

She says she wants to work with other Wyre Forest businesses to keep growing in 2013.

Her story began in 2011 when she got engaged to now-husband Matt and, in need of wedding stationery, she set about creating her own.

Pleased with what she produced, she agreed to help Simply Limitless.

She then decided to set up a full-time business after finishing her fashion communication degree at Birmingham City University last June.

“Running my own business is a dream come true,” she said.

“The challenge and excitement of seeing it come to life is fantastic and it’s great to meet with other business owners in Wyre Forest who are seeing success in selfemployment.”

“I am also looking for local business who might want a revamp to make themselves stand out so they can help their own business. I think it is important for local businesses to help each other out.

“The whole experience has been enjoyable and I am really excited about the coming year. We have already made some really good and different designs.”

Mrs Wisdom said young people thinking about their futures should consider starting their own businesses.

“I would say people need to be creative and think outside the box and go for what you enjoy because that is when you will work to the best of your ability,” she said.
