A SPORTING club has just celebrated its first year in business.
Just over a year ago former Royal Marine Commando Phillip Blundall left the marines too pursue his goal of helping people change their lives for the better, through fitness.
Together with Daniel Allen, a well known Redditch based personal trainer, they started Crossfit Redditch with the aim of helping people to make long term changes through exercise, as well as offering a community environment which supports all needs.
The club now has 80 members.
Mr Allen said: "The past 12 months have been hard work, but the rewards are far greater. "
Former marine Mr Blundall added: "It is at its most rewarding when you see people competing at local level against other boxes (Crossfit gyms) and the community vibe is a big thing for us with regular events, such as charity runs and nights out."
