HARTLEBURY-based food producer CP Foods’ partnership with a Worcester day centre for the homeless is going from strength to strength as it continues to raise essential funds.

As part of its ongoing relationship with Maggs Day Centre, CP Foods organised a coffee morning, when a raffle and cake sale raised nearly £100 towards a new shower block at the centre.

Gloria Blount, part of the CP Charity Partnership, said: “The day centre is such an important resource for so many members of the community and needs funds desperately.

“The money raised will make a real difference in improving the centre for all those who benefit from it.”

Maggs Day Centre provides homeless and isolated people with free access to its facilities and is the only centre of its kind in Worcester.

Mel Kirk, acting manager at Maggs, said: “Thanks so much to everybody who contributed towards this fund-raiser and to all the CP staff for their time and effort spent organising the event.

“It was a huge success and we’re thrilled to have more funds to put towards refurbishing the shower block.”
