12:55pm Thursday 3rd January 2013 in Local
QUARRY Bank residents and businesses are invited to have their say on potential High Street improvements.
Dudley Council has already secured funding for traffic safety enhancements in the area to benefit those walk and cycle around the High Street.
The council also wants to guage people’s views on how the street environment and appearance could be improved.
Opinions and ideas will be used to form future funding bids.
Residents and traders can find out more and complete a questionnaire on the proposals at a public consultation which will run at Quarry Bank Community Centre, Sheffield Street, from Saturday January 19 until Saturday February 2.
Councillor Shaukat Ali, Dudley’s cabinet member for regeneration, said: "I’m confident the local community and businesses will want to find out more about these early proposals and take the chance to share their views with us.
“As a listening council we really value the input of our residents and we know that taking on board their aspirations and opinions serves to strengthen any future funding applications that we make.“ The plans and survey can also be viewed and completed online at www.dudley.gov.uk/quarrybankconsultation For more details email dudleycouncilplus@dudley.gov.uk or call Dudley Council Plus on 0300 5552345.
