STOURBRIDGE swimmers will soon be able to use improved changing facilities at the town’s Crystal Leisure Centre as part of a £33,000 plan.

Dudley Council is investing in new token operated lockers in the swimming locker village at the Bell Street centre to replace outdated money operated ones.

The leisure pool and locker village will be closed from Monday January 21 to Thursday January 24 and will reopen on Friday January 25 once work has been completed.

Other facilities at the centre will be open as usual throughout the short closure.

Councillor Tracy Wood, Dudley’s cabinet member for environment and culture, said: “This is part of the on going investment work at our leisure centres and I hope the new lockers will improve the experience for our uses.

“The 25 metre pool will be unaffected during these works and will still be open to the public.”
