MARY Stevens Hospice is launching a month of fitness madness to encourage supporters across the borough to shed the pounds and raise much-needed charity cash.

Fitness clubs have teamrd up with the Stourbridge hospice to offer classes and gym challenges throughout February from fancy dress fitness classes to indoor triathlons.

The hospice will also be launching its first-ever swimathon on Sunday February 24 at The Wordsley School under the guidance of veteran competitive swimmer Kath Tunnicliffe, assistant headteacher.

Hospice fundraiser Sally Insley said: “We’d really love members of the community to get involved with their own personal challenges – a group of friends could get together for a cycle ride or take a walk in the countryside.

“All of these activities are a great way to maintain fitness whilst raising much-needed hospice funds.”
