Quarry Bank regeneration consultation finishes this weekend

QUARRY Bank residents and traders are urged to have their say on potential improvements to the town before a consultation finishes this weekend.

Dudley Council has been seeking views on possible improvements to the High Street’s environment and overall appearance, which will be used to form future funding bids.

The council has already secured funding for traffic safety improvements in the area, which would provide greater provision for people who walk and cycle around the High Street.

People can find out more and complete a questionnaire on the proposals at a consultation running at Quarry Bank Community Centre, Sheffield Street, until Saturday February 2.

Council officers will be available to discuss the project at the community centre tomorrow (Wednesday January 30) from 2pm to 4pm and on Saturday from 10am to 4pm.

Councillor Shaukat Ali, Dudley’s cabinet member for regeneration, said: "This consultation gives residents and business the perfect opportunity to have their say on what happens on Quarry Bank High Street.

"We will be making funding bids to help improve this area in the future and we are confident this consultation will help to shape and strengthen those bids.”

The plans and survey can also be viewed and completed online at www.dudley.gov.uk/quarrybankconsultation or for more information call Dudley Council Plus on 0300 5552345 or email dudleycouncilplus@dudley.gov.uk
