AN Amblecote councillor is celebrating after an 18 month campaign resulted in the reinstatement of a much-missed post box.
Cllr Pat Martin says elderly people have been waiting too long for the delivery of a box after their previous box was taken away when a new telegraph pole was installed.
Cllr Martin says the box, on Vicarage Road, will provide a valuable service for elderly people in the area who had previously been without an easy means of sending their letters.
She said: "We had a campaign petition of getting on for 1,000 names, this will make a tremendous difference to older people.
"Now they can get out to post their letters rather than getting someone else to do it or getting on a bus to a post box."
