Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after Wordsley crash

A MOTORCYCLIST suffered serious injuries after a crash involving a van in Wordsley this morning (Tuesday).
The biker, believed to be aged 26, was airlifted to Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital after the Lawnswood Road smash which happened at around 7.50am.
He suffered serious leg and suspected pelvis injuries and a cut to his head.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "Crews arrived to find a motorcycle and a van that had been in a collision.
“The man received emergency treatment at the scene including pain relief. He was immobised using a spinal board and neck collar and was airlifted to hospital for further emergency treatment."
No-one else was injured in the crash.
