Pensioner in serious condition after Iverley crash

A PENSIONER remains in a serious condition in hospital after a crash involving a car and a bicycle in Iverley.

The collision happened at around 10.20am on Saturday February 16 on Norton Road, the cyclist a man, aged 74, from the Stourbridge area suffered back, neck and head injuries.

He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

The driver of the vehicle, a silver Peugeot 406, a man in his 70s, also from the Stourbridge area, was uninjured.

The road remained closed until around 11pm while specialist officers carried out an examination of the scene.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen the collision or seen the cyclist riding towards Kidderminster prior to the incident to call Staffordshire Police on 101.
