A JUDGE has ordered police to investigate allegations that evil hooker Emma Bate made cut-throat gestures to relatives of the Stourbridge property developer she murdered.

Peter Grieves-Smith, prosecuting, told Judge Simon Tonking that complaints had been filed about gestures made by Bate towards members of Richard Sherratt’s family during today’s sentencing at Stafford Crown Court.

Bate’s barrister David Mason QC, said she refuted the allegation, adding: “She denies making things worse for herself in the face of the court."

Judge Tonking, however, replied: "This is something which requires investigation. I regret I didn't see it, but I am concerned this allegation was made and it should be investigaged."

The judge said the alleged incident would not affect the life sentence imposed on Bate for the offences of murder and robbery.

She was ordered to serve 25 years for her part in the killing of wealthy businessman Mr Sherratt - while her boyfriend Paramjit Singh was ordered to serve 18 years and four months in prison for the brutal murder.
