Merry Hill staff help keep the Black Country Foodbank's shelves stocked up
4:47pm Thursday 26th September 2013 in Local
GENEROUS staff at Merry Hill have been busy collecting supplies for the Black Country Foodbank.
For the past five months, employees at the Brierley Hill shopping centre have brought food into work to help stock up the shelves and feed families who cannot afford to feed themselves.
Their donations, which will be distributed across the Black Country, weighed in at 14.2kg.
Kelly Reed, the centre’s senior marketing manager, said: “We’re so pleased to help the efforts of what is a very worthy cause.
“The Black Country Foodbank fed over 12,000 people last year, 4,000 of which were children. I’d like to thank all who got involved and donated generously to the cause.”
