BOROUGH residents will see changes to their waste and recycling collections during the festive period.

Households will have altered collections between Monday December 23 and Friday January 3.

Bins may be collected earlier than usual during the Christmas period so residents should ensure their bins are placed outside for collection by 6.30am.

Residents with recycling that doesn’t fit in the container provided can place it in another suitable container for collection.

Any additional, bulky waste can be collected via the council’s chargeable bulky waste collection service.

The household waste site, located on Birmingham Street, Stourbridge, will recycle a large number of items including Christmas trees and unwanted electrical goods.

Councillor Tracy Wood, cabinet member for environment and culture, said: “Residents are reminded that waste and recycling collections will be altered over the Christmas period but everyone will receive a full collection service during this time.

"We are sending flyers to all our borough residents to let them know the details of our collections but residents who have any questions can call Dudley Council Plus for advice.”

Collection calendars can be downloaded at www.dudley.gov.uk/recycling.
