RISING Stourbridge literary star David Massey launches his second teen fiction novel today (Thursday).
The author from Withymoor, whose first book Torn was published in 2012, looks set for further success with his second offering Taken - which hits the book stores today (Thursday March 6) to coincide with World Book Day.
To mark the launch - David, who was snapped up by publishing legend Barry Cunningham who discovered JK Rowling, was spending the day at Crestwood School in Kingswinford.
His latest read, which promises to follow in the footsteps of critically-acclaimed Torn, follows a group of disabled teenagers who are taken hostage by pirates while on a gruelling round-the-world yachting trip.
The book, published by Chicken House, is available from High Street book stores and online sites – priced £7.99.
