A MAN was airlifted to hospital after a car left the road and hit a tree near Hagley.
The man from Kidderminster suffered a hip injury during the incident on Saturday January 6 at around 1.25pm.
Paramedics and an emergency doctor were called to the scene, on the Birmingham bound side of the Hagley Road near Wassell Grove, to treat the man after firefighters removed him from the vehicle.
It is believed the car left the road after going through a large puddle, the man was flown to Russell's Hall Hospital for further treatment.
Emergency medical technician, Gavin Denley, said: "When there has been a lot of rain, drivers should be careful going through deep puddles, especially if they are travelling at speed.
"In extreme cases it can cause cars to veer to the side as one set of wheels slows down rapidly."
