CHRISTMAS-tree buying Wollaston villagers helped raise more than £1,300 for St James's PTA.
The association's Christmas Tree Bonanza, in aid of St James's School, saw more than 120 trees sold - and nearly 60 returned for shredding.
PTA chairman Simon Millichip said: "This is the second year we've run this event and we plan to make it a regular thing.
"This year we wanted to offer the full end to end service, with delivery, collection and shredding and are delighted so many people took us up on the offer.
"We hope they will support us again next year."
