DELIGHTED Dudley Group of Hospitals bosses have moved a step closer to becoming an NHS Foundation Trust after their application was given the green light by government health chiefs.
The organisation has now received the go-ahead from the Secretary of State for Health to move to the next stage of the application process and now hopes to become an NHS Foundation Trust between April and June next year.
Paul Fardenden said: "This is great news for Dudley's hospitals.
"We are delighted to have received the support and approval from the Secretary of State.
"Becoming an NHS Foundation Trust is the next step in our development journey and today's announcement demonstrates that Dudley is one of the most successful Hospital Trusts in the country."
