THE strengths and talents of the borough's autistic children will be celebrated at an event on Saturday.

Dudley College will host the annual Big Bang event from 11am to 4pm with a diverse display of art, science, writing and music created by young people with autism, attending either mainstream or special schools throughout the borough.

The event, organised by the council’s Autism Outreach Service, is free to attend although there will be fundraising activities for the Dudley Autism support group.

Councillor Tim Crumpton, cabinet member for children’s services, said: “I am looking forward to seeing what the children and young people have produced for this year’s exhibition at the college.

"I hope that people will take some time out on Saturday to go along and support this worthy event and show their appreciation for these talented youngsters.”
