A TODDLER died after he was found in his grandparent's swimming pool in Pedmore, an inquest heard.
The inquest into the death of two-year-old Ajay Ramesh Shourie, from Leicester, was opened at Smethwick Coroners Court on Friday.
Paramedics were called to a property in Worcester Lane at around 4.30pm on Monday (March 31) and rushed him to Russells Hall Hospital, Dudley.
But despite their best efforts to resuscitate him, he was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "Specialist officers are supporting the family at this difficult time, while inquiries continue to establish the circumstances of the child’s death, however it is not being treated as suspicious."
The inquest was adjourned.
