STOURBRIDGE MP Margot James has given her backing to Black Country band War Kites for Parliament's prestigious Rock the House competition.
War Kites have won their way through to the national finals for the best Under 19 band.
They won the Stourbridge MP's nomination after coming out on top of a battle of the bands contest held in association with Base Studios in Rufford Road last month.
War Kites will now be assessed by a judging panel of industry experts later this month in London to see if they can obtain a place in the grand final which is scheduled to be staged at the House of Commons this summer.
