A MAN has admitted stealing nearly £43,000 from his 91-year old mother who lives in Stourbridge.

Simon Crutchley pleaded guilty to four charges of theft between December 2011 and March 2013.

The 51-year-old of Vallenders Road, Tewkesbury ,was remanded on bail at Wolverhampton Crown Court for a pre-sentence report.

Crutchley admitted stealing a total of £42,752 from his mother, who is blind, and he was allowed bail on condition he does not go to her home in High Park Avenue.

Judge Peter Barrie told Crutchley a report was vital to obtain full details of his circumstances and background before the case against him can be finalised.

The prosecution are expected to outline the case in full when Crutchley next appears before the crown court on June 17.
