BLACK Country mum Kate Dulson will be staging another charity event at Stourton this summer to help keep alive the memory of her daughter who died when just two weeks old.

Phoebe lost her battle for life almost two years ago after suffering from a rare condition known as Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) which prevents a baby's diaphragm from developing properly.

Kate, together with husband Arran, vowed to give something back to the charity CDH UK which helped her when she was at her lowest ebb.

The 35-year-old former music teacher from Hasbury , Halesowen, staged a family fun day at The Fox near Stourton last year and raised around £1,300 for the charity.

She said: "We had between 200 and 300 turn up to the event last year and it was a really lovely day. People were so generous and It meant so much to me.

"Many people have asked me since if I'd do it again, so we're staging another family fun day at The Fox on July 5.

"I feel it's important to keep my daughter's name alive."

Kate has already arranged for a number of trade stalls to attend including a toy shop, sweet stall plus arts and crafts.

There will also be plenty of children's entertainment at the bash.

She added: "I try to do as much as I can for the charity. We raised around £2,000 by staging an event at Go Ape in the Wyre Forest and we did another event at Christmas."

Kate, who has two other children - eight-year-old Max and 14-month-old Rosie, added: "When Rosie is older, she'll understand that she had a sister.

"I do enjoy the fundraising side, but it's not just about the money, it's also about raising awareness of the condition which Phoebe died from."

Kate is also on the lookout for raffle prizes. If any individuals or companies would like to donate they can contact Kate at
