A PLAN to build 27 new houses on land off Marine Crescent, Wordsley, has been deferred for more details to be provided about the affordable homes aspect of the scheme.

Councillors at Monday night’s development control committee meeting at The Council House put off voting on the plan by Hadlington Brothers Ltd after Councillor John Martin questioned why there had been a “sizeable reduction” in the number of affordable homes outlined for the scheme.

The proposed development, which would be accessed off Marine Crescent, would comprise two three-bedroom semi-detached homes, four two-bed properties, seven three-bed homes and 14 four-bedroom houses – all with driveway parking or garages.
