A STOURBRIDGE drug addict who committed a string of burglaries to fuel his habit has been jailed for 28 months.
Heroin addict Paul Cross, of Bredon Road, admitted carrying out two raids and asked for three other similar offences to be taken into consideration.
Charnjit Jutla, prosecuting, said that over a four-week period in September and October last year Cross caused £1,500 damage before getting away with goods from Lloyds Pharmacy in Peckingham Street, Halesowen.
He also broke into a property in George Road, Halesowen and took a quantity of cigarettes and cash.
At Wolverhampton Crown Court on Thursday January 18, Judge John Wait told 29-year-old Cross: "You showed no regard for the distress you caused to your victims."
The Judge also told Cross he had caused a great deal of inconvenience to others to fuel an addiction that had spiralled out of control.
