SOUTH Staffordshire MP Gavin Williamson went back to school recently when he visited Edgecliff High.

The MP spent time in the Kinver school's £500,000 design and technology unit, which he opened in 2012.

He also spoke to the school council and told them about his life and work as a private secretary to Prime Minister, David Cameron, in particular how he advises him to respond to questions at Prime Minister's Question Time.

Mr Williamson also offered to arrange visits to the Houses of Parliament for law students and members of the school council and spoke with headteacher Chris Rogers about academy plans.

He said: “I have been very impressed by what I have seen and the pupils who I have spoken to.

"Mr Rogers outlined his plans for the school’s future - I believe this to be a very exciting time for the school and I am keen to support it in its endeavours.”
