SWINDON golf club have raised a remarkable £1,000 by holding a charity scramble competition to help Kingswinford tot Oscar Fradgley.
Brian Wright captain of Swindon Golf Club was approached by one of members who suggested helping Oscar after reading about his story in the news.
The golf club have helped raise for cash for Children with Leukaemia and Compton Hospice before but this time the members battled it out over scramble.
The proceeds from the competition and a raffle held on the night were donated to Oscar's Trust Fund.
Oscar's parents decided to set up a trust fund to give the youngster a brighter future -after he was born with a rare,incurable disease,heart disease,facial palsy and eye sight problems.
Chairman Brian Wright said: "I am so very proud of my members and their wonderful response for this cause and would like our local people to know what a wonderful bunch they are."
