A MAN in his 20s was dramatically rescued after falling on snow-covered slopes while sledging on the Clent Hills.
Emergency ambulance crews were alerted to the incident at 8.30pm after 999 calls were received about a man injured on the Worcestershire hillside following the sudden snowfall last Thursday (February 8).
Paramedics, firefighters and hill rescue teams arrived at the Fourstones Café, Adams Hill, Clent, before attempting to bring the injured man down the hillside to safety.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said the man, who had been sledging with a group of friends, was treated for leg and ankle injuries.
He was taken by ambulance to the Alexandra Hospital, Redditch.
