SUPPORT is continuing to pour in for the Save Our Skatepark campaign to help keep stricken skaters' haven Ramparts afloat.
Stourbridge band Midas were the latest to take to the stage at the Bell Street venue.
Together with support from Mojo Casino, Underage, Arcadian Kicks and Monolith £400 was raised for the appeal to help get Ramparts out of debt, which owner Lois Bramall claims was a situation that partly arose due to improper invoicing.
And a 24-hour DJ-athon at Chicago Rock Cafe, which finished at 8pm on Monday (February 12) also pulled in the pounds.
Further Skate Aid gigs will be held at Ramparts this Saturday (February 17) from midday (Groove Sadistic and Kill Johnny Rock Star), Sunday February 18 from 1pm to 9pm (DJs and bands The Maybes and Da'Blues) and Saturday February 24 (TBA).
Dudley Council, which is threatening legal action over the unpaid rent, has said it will not be renewing the lease on the skate park's Bell Street carpark base - which looks set to be bulldozed to make way for Crown Centre redevelopments.
But ex-councillor Mrs Bramall is refusing to give up hope and is looking for an alternative base in the town.
She said: "I will do whatever I can to keep this skatepark going in some form."
