FORMER Stourbridge squadie Sam Horton kept his perfect record intact when he fought at Dudley Concert Hall for the first time.
The 21-year-old middleweight beat Middlesborough's Dave Pearson with relative ease when boxing returned to the venue on Thursday February 15 - making it three out of three professional wins to date.
The plasterer, who boxes out of the Contender Boxing stable in Wombourne, featured on the same bill as Dudley's Darren McDermott.
Although still in his infancy Sam's aiming high and wants to follow in the footsteps of McDermott who, after also seizing victory on Thursday, now looks set for a crack at the British middleweight title.
Sam's success was also made that bit sweeter - as it came just 24 hours after he popped the question in Paris to long-term girlfriend Sally-Anne.
