A STOURBRIDGE drama student fears his career could be ruined before it gets off the ground after he spilled the beans about teenaged sex in a controversial TV documentary.

Mike O'Brien, who is studying for a BTEC National Diploma in acting at Stourbridge College, was featured on the candid show Too Much Too Young, about teenagers in the 21st century.

The one-hour show, labelled by the tabloids as an explosive documentary that will stun every parent in Britain', focussed on Mike, aged 17, and his girlfriend Louise Price, also 17, and their friends Kathryn Thompson and Mark Jeffries - and was the second in a series of four covering issues such as sex, drugs and cosmetic surgery.

In it the teenager talked openly about sex and the casual attitude he and many friends had towards it at school.

Aspiring actor Mike said he originally signed up for the show, which aired on Tuesday, in the hope it would boost his profile but says it's a decision he bitterly regrets.

He said: "I do really, really regret doing the programme. It could ruin my career. I don't want to be shown all over the news as some little trollop - that's not an accurate description of me. I hope it doesn't affect me and the people around me."

Former Kingswinford School student Mike, from Wombourne, says he is not that different to any other teenager'.

He added: "They picked me for the show as I was able to talk about stuff. But some of the things that have been said about me are not true.

"When I was at school I obviously had sex - but who didn't? That's what people do, but I didnt bed strings of schoolgirls."

Aside from all the controversy about his personal life, Mike has set up his own production company and hopes to stage a four-man period drama at Brierley Hill Civic Hall next month called Whatever Trevor about how even in the 1860s women were expected to be thin.
