DOG owners of Stourbridge are being offered a new training course as a way of taming lively canines of any age, breed, or size.
Owners are being encouraged to take their pup to weekly training lessons in Mary Stevens Park, which are to be delivered by a trainer with more than 30 years of experience.
The first class is to be held at 2pm tomorrow (Saturday, April 23) near the War Memorial on Queens Drive.
Alan Lunt, strategic director at Dudley Council, said: “There is a great dog lovers’ community in Mary Stevens Park.
“I expect many dog owners would admit to struggling with some aspect of dog behaviour, from pulling on the lead to eating food out of the kitchen bin or not coming back when called.
“Having well behaved dogs in our parks is important around young children and animals, particularly in the school holidays when the park is bustling with families and dog walkers alike.”
For more information, or to book a place on the sessions, which cost £5, email pertondogtraining@mail.com, or call 07570 179528.
