A HOMELESS cat, who has spent 100 days at Blue Cross rehoming centre in Bromsgrove, is desperate to find a loving a home.

Portia came to the centre with a group of cats after their owner could no longer care for them, but while the rest have all found homes Portia has been overlooked by potential owners.

The nine-year-old black and white cat suffers with a skin condition caused by fleas but has been treated and is now in perfect condition.

Nicola Halfpenny, Blue Cross animal welfare assistant at Bromsgrove said: “We all adore Portia and really don’t understand why no-one is interested in taking her home. While she can be a little unsure of strangers at first, she is very affectionate and loves nothing more than curling up on a favourite lap for a snooze.”

Portia has also been given preventative treatment to protect her from future flea bites.

She is looking for a home as the only family pet and would like a garden to explore.

Blue Cross say Portia wouldn't mind being left alone for part of the day and could be rehomed with older children who will give her her own space.
