AN empty hospital building went up in flames on the old Ridge Hill site at Wordsley today (Monday May 16).
Firefighters from Brierley Hill, Stourbridge and Haden Cross were called out at around 6pm to the sprawling site - off Brierley Hill Road - where a severe fire had taken hold in the roof space of a derelict building.
Fire crews tweeted from the scene two hours ago and said they believed the blaze was started deliberately.
