A BURST water main had caused a Stourbridge street to be closed for the next three days to allow emergency repairs to take place.
Dudley Council closed Charles Road this afternoon (May 18) after Severn Trent Water notified the local authority about the water eruption.
Motorists are being diverted along an alternative route using Brook Street, Clark Street, Lawn Avenue and vice-versa.
A council spokeswoman said that access to the frontages during the closure – which is expected to last “approximately three days” – will be “maintained where safe to do so”.
