A BLACK Country comic and top circuit headliner is set to headline a night of comedy in Stourbridge next month.

Sean Percival, from Sedgley, regularly tops the bill at renowned comedy clubs such as Glee and Jongleurs, but he will performing in the marquee at Wollaston’s Katie Fitzgerald’s on Friday, June 3.

The former welder will headline the monthly Fitz of Laughter Comedy Club, which runs on the first Friday of every month and has played host to the likes of Gary Delaney, Zoe Lyons, John Robertson, Nathan Caton and Barbara Nice.

Sean will be supported on the night by two pro comics, Latino lothario Jellybean Martinez and Brummie stand-up James Cook, as well as Dudley man and resident compere Wayne Beese.

Wayne said: “We have been packed to the rafters every night so far this year and tickets are going very well for this one as well, so we would urge people to book quickly to avoid disappointment.

“Sean is a down to earth, working class local lad and a fantastic comic to boot, he takes the roof off at every gig he does and performs at all the top clubs in the UK and beyond. People who come along are in for a real treat.

“Jellybean has been here with us before, when we used to run on a Thursday night in the cellar bar, and is a real crowd pleaser, while James is top notch as well.

“We often get praised for the quality of our support acts and this month will be no exception.”

Tickets for the evening, which sees doors opening at 8pm, cost £10 and are available with no booking fee from www.skiddle.com/e/1255732, or calling Wayne on 07507 015397.
