POLICE have arrested two youths found hiding in undergrowth after two police cars were rammed by an Audi stolen from the Stourbridge area.

Officers were called to Bosworth Drive in Chelmsley Wood around 4am Saturday, June 18, following reports of an ATM cash machine being attacked.

As police arrived, the stolen red Audi A6 car, with four people inside, drove from the scene.

Officers from the force’s traffic unit followed the vehicle, which then rammed two marked police cars causing considerable damage to the vehicles.

The Audi then drove off and was found abandoned nearby.

Officers of the ground arrested two youths aged 15 and 16, found hiding in undergrowth.

Detective Sergeant Jamie Mason from Force CID said: “Two youths were arrested on suspicion of burglary and have been bailed while enquiries are on-going. 

"Investigations continue to find two other people believed to have been in the stolen car.

"Two traffic officers were treated for bruising and whiplash following the incident. If anyone has information should call police on 101."
