A MAN has died after his motorcycle was in collision with a car near the Glassworks pub in Wordsley.
Emergency crews were called to the High Street at just before 10pm last night (Thursday June 7). Two ambulances and an Incident Support Officer were sent to the scene, the first ambulance arriving within six minutes of the first of several 999 calls.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "Three motorcyclists were riding together on separate bikes at the time of the crash. One collided with a car.
"When crews arrived they immediately started resuscitation attempts. The man, who was in his 30s, was taken on blue lights to Russell's Hall Hospital but sadly, despite all the efforts of ambulance and hospital staff, it was not possible to save him and he was confirmed dead shortly after arrival.
"The other two riders were taken to the same hospital by ambulance suffering from shock."
