TWO people were taken to hospital this afternoon (Thursday, August 18) after a crash in Brierley Hill.

Emergency services were alerted to the scene of the crash, at the junction of Brettell Lane and Church Street, after a car and a van collided shortly before 1.40pm.

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances to the scene and treated two people, one for an arm injury and one who was suffering from chest pain, before taking them both to Russells Hall Hospital.

West Midlands Police were also on the scene of the smash which has caused major traffic tailbacks in the area.
