CLASSIC cars are set to motor into Wordsley this weekend as the Red House Glass Cone hosts its first ever display from a single club.

About 20 cult vehicles from Black Country Classic Car Club are expected to park up at the council-run heritage site on Sunday (September 25).

The event will also feature a duck trial and cult car trail for families, while the cone’s artist studios will be open for business throughout the day.

Councillor Khurshid Ahmed, Dudley Council’s cabinet member responsible for tourism, said: “The cone always has an exciting programme of events and this one will be a big hit with people who love classic cars.

“Visitors to the site will be able to take part in one of the two trails, look around the open studios, visit the interactive ‘Our House’ exhibition and of course look at the fantastic range of cars on show.”

The Red House Glass Cone, in High Street, is open for free between 10am and 3pm Monday to Friday and 11am until 4pm at weekends.
