AMBLECOTE Wordsley Methodist Wives Group is hosting an exhibition and floral displays to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
The organisation’s Fabulous at Forty event will take place at Amblecote Wordsley Methodist Church, High Street, Amblecote, where the group was founded in 1976.
Past members are welcome to attend the celebrations running from 2pm to 5pm on Friday October 7 and Saturday October 8 which will include an afternoon tea.
Over the years - the group has raised thousands of pounds for charity by staging fashion shows, jumble sales, jewellery sales and flower displays with donations given to CHADD, the Autistic Society, Mary Stevens Hospice, Sunfield School, Dyspraxia, Moebius, The White House Cancer Support Group and others.
Members, some of whom have been with the group since its inception, have raised an average of £1,000 a year in recent times and they are currently fundraising for Prostate Cancer UK.
