A KIND-hearted Stourbridge dentist is getting on his bike and cycling across Europe to raise money for disabled children.

Anthony Dash, principle dentist at Lion Dental Centre, is a keen cyclist, but he will be put to the test this weekend as he rides more than 300km from Milan to Monaco.

He will use the cycling challenge in his bid to raise at least £5,000 for the Caudwell Children charity, which helps disabled children and their families across the UK.

Anthony said: “When John Caudwell asked me to join him in raising money for Caudwell Children, I was eager to help.

“We are raising money so this incredible charity can carry out vital work with its continuous efforts and devotion to disabled children.”

All the costs of the charity are covered by John Caudwell himself, meaning 100 per cent of donations go directly to the children who are in need.

Anthony and a group of friends will start their journey in Milan on Friday (September 23) and aim to finish off the ride in the sovereign city-state of Monaco on Sunday (September 25).

He added: “Two days on the saddle is a small feat compared to that achieved through the tireless ambassadors, volunteers and trustees.

“All children should have the chance to lead a full and independent life and Caudwell Children leads the way in making this a reality.

“Every penny donated will go straight to the charity, and not a penny less.”
