Festival promises family fun

THIS year's Belbroughton Summer Festival is set to be a fun filled event for all the family.

The festival, at Belbroughton C of E School, will be held on Saturday June 23, starting at 3pm.

Activities including hook-a-duck, lucky dip, coconut shy and a dad's tug-of-war will take place throughout the day.

To start the early evening entertainment over 500 biodegradable balloons will be released for with a Grand Balloon Race' with a £100 prize for the owner of the balloon returned from furthest away.

The evening's entertainment will conclude with a concert from ten-piece band Shake Rattle and Soul.

Funds from the event, including sponsorship from companies like Barclays Bank, will be donated to the school.

Tickets cost £3 for adults and £1 for OAP's, accompanied children are free, there will be refreshments, including a pig roast and bar, will be available during the event .
