AN elderly woman was taken to hospital after the car she was driving hit a tree on the car park at Stourbridge Golf Club.
The 85-year-old, who is a member of the club, had to be cut free from her vehicle by firefighters from Stourbridge and Brierley Hill who were called out at 6pm on Thursday March 9 to the golf club in Worcester Lane, Pedmore.
A spokesman for West Midlands Fire Service said: "We carried out a full roof removal and the casualty was assisted by doctors and paramedics at the scene."
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent an ambulance, plus paramedics from the Midlands Air Ambulance at Strensham who travelled by car to the incident.
The woman was treated at the scene for a serious leg wound before being taken to Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
